Does anyone know of a place to store your weapons on the East side of Glacier Park before crossing in to Canada to visit Waterton Lakes Park?

That is a problem. I'd sure like to see the answers. On our south border the border patrol won't allow police officers to use their gun lockers that are crossing the border. We had to find a local police station in the area.
I have heard they will put locks on your weapons if you are traveling through to Alaska for rifles only. I think I would call them. If you do find some place to store your guns make sure everything is stored including any spare clips etc. A friend had his vehicle torn apart because he stored his guns but one empty clip was left under the seat. Once they found the clip they treated him like a criminal.

Perhaps at a bus or train station they have lock boxes one can rent:
Amtrak Train & Bus Stations
After checking a couple of stations, seems they are small & no lockers. On a second check, were it said "no lockers" a pop up said "Passenger can use self-service lockers for baggage storage". Might work.....? Baggage - No Lockers
Maybe The Many Glacier Hotel has lock boxes?

I'd say leaving them at a dealer for cleaning/storage would be good. Or check local police departments and see if they have lock boxes or storage for such use.

The gun shop idea was the one that occurred to me. Maybe in Great Falls if you are coming up that way. I'd never leave guns in a bus station locker, I doubt they are very secure. And it would probably cause a major flap if they were discovered in there.

Before leaving them at a gun shop, make sure you don't have to do the paperwork (4417s?) to get them back. Seems like there are laws in some states that if left overnight at a gun shop it is required.

It's really simple, if you know that you are going into Canada, leave the guns at home.
