What you really need to bring along for the weekend is:
  • a couple of extra kitchen sinks
  • enough tools to do a complete rebuild of a nuclear submarine
  • 3 complete 15 piece sets of cast iron cookware.
never know when you will need them.

I assume the above is in addition to the beer

The beer has its own double tow trailer.

The only things I load in/out each trip are clothes, food and toys.
Propane, grills, tools, spare parts etc all stay in my trailer all the time.

I have weighed my trailer all loaded up, so I know my weights also.

You guys kill me!

I didn't want to guess at weights, so before I put the new rig in the back yard, off to the scale....Empty truck and trailer weighed 21,760 with two of us in it. It was 27,980 ready to go....with one fuel tank full and one bike left at home. That's a lot of "Stuff"

I didn't buy a luxury home on wheels and a big pickup to do without on vacation.....

Isn't your truck rated at 23000 lbs GCWR? Seems like your "big pickup" is well overloaded.

I don't remember what Dodge's rated GCWR was, but it just kisses the overloads.

I'm not over on the axles now that I shifted a few things around, I did the gear swap, load range H tires, and have a Pac Brake.....I'm not sweating it.
