I have read some posts from those who have placed Eternabond over all their roof seams. For those who have knowledge of the effects of this procedure after several years, are you pleased?

Overall yes. I do have a few places where the tape has lifted a little and some damage from tree limbs when getting into some boondocking spots. The thick edges of the tape do create a visible line so try and keep it as straight as possible. No one has ever made a comment about noticing it. Other than that, The tape was put on when the rig was brand new spring of 08. most importantly - NO LEAKS!!

I love Eternabond tape I have a plastic rain barrel that someone used for a saw horse and you guessed it they cut it. I used Eternabond tape on the cut and no more leaks, been three years now. I also used it on the inside of our dishwasher on a crack in the door and it is still in place after four years Try that with caulk.

My seams have been taped for 3 years now. No leaks, my only complaint is I need to clean the tape each spring with simple green due to streaking from roof run-off.

I use Eternabond now. When I get our next RV, the first thing I do will be apply Eternabond to the seams. Preventing leaks is much better than repairing leaks.

Spent four days this summer eterna bonding the roof seams on a 20 TT, We have just had two heavy rain storms pass thru the area, I will be going to check on the trailer in storage tomorrow and will let you know how it held up. I have my fingers crossed!

This is a waste of time and money, its like tarping a new roof on your house. There is a reason that the roof has a 12 year warranty you need to inspect it every 3 - 6 months for damage and caulk issues. Charles

I have done it to 2 campers and it is worth every penny. If you trust those roof seams with Dicor alone, you will be one of those with leaks sooner than later. Eternabond has a very, very good track record and an extremely long warranty, and for good reason. The problem with leaks is not the rubber membrane itself, it is the seams, the sealant and the shoddy application done by the manufacturers.

We have 30+ multigenerational families in our extended camping family. Of the 50+ all different types of RV's most are now EternaBond equipt. At least two class A's have been in service for at least 15 years using it.
From popups to coaches only had one leaker and that was because the moron didn't do ANY cleaning before applying the tape.
Only thing I can say against tape is there are "clones" of Eternabond out there and several RV builders are using it in place of Eternabond because it is cheaper. They do have problems with these clone tapes.

there are videos on utube for roof repair and taping. \
i been using eternabond tape for 3 years now and it sticks well and seems to last. i just coated entire roof with liquid rubber and had to sand e tape and coat with contact adhesive per mfg recomentations. seem that the tape has a coating that needs to be treated before anything will stick well.\
i taped around the frig exhaust vent ( was leaking) before i used liquid rubber. coated over the tape... i dont expect any problems for 30 years now lol.
when u play in the sand .... you can get stuck
