I cannot believe how nice the interior is on the new Dodge trucks. I was a big Dodge fan as a kid, but I have never owned a Dodge truck. My X is 9 years old now and just shy of 160k miles. It's been the best vehicle I have ever owned, but I am starting to get the itch for something new.

I drove a SRW 3500 Megacab with the Laramie package. The interior of the truck rivals my Mercedes. Heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, great sound system, and very cool entertainment system.

I'm attracted to the Cummins, but I don't know about their current issues (if they have any). With that said, I'd still have to look at the new Fords. My X has held up incredibly well and is still in great condition. I haven't had to replace any switches, knobs, AC compressors, etc.

I was disappointed to see on pickuptrucks.com that the Ram got 1mpg less than the Ford in their HD tow test. The Ram also has a GVWR 1400lbs less than the comparable Ford.

Regardless of stats, the Ram is one good looking truck.

Towing capacity on the 2012 Ram is 22,750 max. I love mine. No issues whatsoever.

Sounds good! Now go test drive the other brands top trim level diesels and give us the comparison report. Then buy the one you like. Good luck.

The truck rating is all dependent upon the amount of tires on the ground, 8 side walls are always better than 4. the spring set will always carry more than the tires.

we've had three dodges in a row, and never had any issues with the cummins or the tranny. Cummins did recall our 2002 for a fuel pump up grade, we did it but wasn't having any issues prior to the recall. we ran one of our trucks with a 600 horse chip, It still was running strong when we traded it at 257K

and yes the cabs have improved greatly.

It's amazing to see how far the new trucks have come in the last 10 years. I'm starting to feel like Fred Flintstone with my old rig

37,000 plus miles on my 2010 Cummins. Not one single problem. No rattles, no squeeks, no air leaks..nothing. If it didn't say Ram on it I would swear it wasn't a Chrysler product. Boy have they come a long way! I really like this truck..

From May to Nov last year I test drove all three. Having a Ford PSD I was leaning toward Ford but after going to the car show in NY last
May I was so impressed with the Ram. So after months of looking and test driving I went with the 2011 Ram 3500 CC LB Dually and have not
looked back. I think Ram has really come a long way and I was able to
get a leftover 2011 and the price I think blew Ford and Chevy out
of the water. Good luck with your shopping.

I previously owned a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT Big Horn edition.

The difference in interiors in the new models is really amazing. Very nice.

Have not seen one close up, but appears from reading web sites and photos that their Longhorn edition could rival my King Ranch for a deluxe interior.

Your kidding right? Who in the heck would buy a Ram....
although all 3 make a great truck the last couple of years. Yes the Ram gets about 1 MPG less mileage, but you don't need DEF.
But you will next year
