A group of us are planning an extended RV trip and wish to spend a couple of days at the Henry Ford Museum and need to find a campground and would like some suggestions. From Dearborn we plan to cross into Canada at Sarnia. Thanks Michael

Closest one that we could find that had hookups. http://www.detroitgreenfield.com/ Nice folks and the drive to Henry Ford is not bad at all.
There is another that seemed a little farther away - did not check it out though. http://www.campdearborn.com/

I would recommend this over Greenfield.

I would second that. Not a fancy place but good for a couple of days while viewing The Henry Ford.

Both are in the same area. Wayne Fair ground cost less and has large sites. You have Camping World, Walmarts, and several other stores close by. Several restaurants including Cracker Barrel and a real good little place on the other side of the over pass heading into Belleville.

There's also Sterling State Park... not one of my favorites, but it's got a great view of Fermi

I would recommend Camp Dearborn in Milford. Easy on and off of interstate 96, about 30 min from The Henry Ford. Lovely park with full hook-ups, paved pads, a pool and three 9 hole golf corses in the park. They also offer package deals when camping there and going to Greenfield Village. The Village has a large parking lot and can easily accomadate RVs.

We stayed at Sterling, pretty easy drive in to The Henry Ford. I enjoyed the views of Lake Erie and its bike party and have been back to Sterling.

We stayed at Wayne County Fairgrounds and thought the price was very reasonable. Met our needs. Would stay there again. Can't speak to the other suggestions. Be sure to take the tour of the Ford factory when you are there. The museum has just been renovated and I believe was suppose to be done Jan 28th or something like that. There is a package price for the museum and village. They also have a movie screen. Enough for at least three days of activities.

Camp Dearborn is close to my place. Very nice. One drawback is they do not allow dogs.
