hubcaps. No, not those chrome or stainless wheel simulators. I want to see what kind of center/hub caps are on your aluminum Alcoa-style wheels. We have a large chrome cover over the rear hub and a small baby moon style cap over the front hub but both are starting to rust a bit and I'd like to see what others use to make their wheels look sharp. Also, I'm adding Crossfire Pressure Equalizers to the rear duals so I need to determine how to mount the equalizer unit and still dress up the rear hub. Anyone have hubcaps and Crossfire or Cats Eye equalizers?

I met a guy with a Prevost. 1990s vintage. His Alcoas had the neatest covers I have seen. Cant find them any where on the internet.

Since the 22.5" wheels are OTR industry standard, any heavy truck place has those covers. I toss mine every year and buy new ones since they don't stay looking nice long. I typically pay maybe $7 for one. There are two common sizes, and they're only about 1/8" difference, so you need to compare your old cover to the new one. A shop with lots of accessories will have covers with designs besides the common "moon" cap.

A good truck shop will also have lug nut covers, and they're cheap - about 35 cents each. You can get spikes, skulls, jeweled ones, etc. I've seen them sold in blister-pack sets of ten for the entire wheel. I just use the round "bullet" covers.

The rear is a two piece design, with a "tophat" that stacks under the outer dual, and the cap/cover that fits on top of that. It covers the axle rod end and its bolt set.

I've ordered from here too: http://www.bigrigchromeshop.com/

Ha! I like their slogan. I don't think I can post it here... on a family site.

Those are kind of nice, and it's a PITA to keep things clean around the lug nut covers etc. Covering 'em all up isn't a bad idea.

I have the T.Kane hub covers and really like them. However, they are expensive but make it easier to clean the rims and hubs. Cost is approximately $700.00 for front and rear (4) hub caps.

Note on the lug nut covers. Though Freighliner and most others has the stainless ones in their catalog they don't want to stock them. They are the only ones that fit. The barrel full, of Chinese covers are just cad plated steel and do not fit tight. After one rain they were rusty.
Freightliner dropped tire and wheel and brake assembly crushing oginal covers. They replaced them with their cheapies. Said that was all that was available. Went through hell and high water finding those tings in three states. Finally told Service Mgr to replace them. The Part Clerk wasn't happy about having to order them. They don't cost that much though.
They list the stainless hub covers too but don't stock them or didn't.
Those were just the stock ones. You wouldn't believe what Freightline wants for the little plug for the front hub cover and some on tag axle models that says Freightliner.

I looked at the Crossfire Pressure Equalizers webpage and it said it will "begin saving 20% or more on tire wear."

I'd really like to see some documentation on that.
