DW wants to attend a conference in May at the Duke Energy Convention Center, so we're looking for a campground within a reasonable distance. So far I've found:

Winton Woods Campground (Hamilton County Park)
Address: 10245 Winton Rd
Cincinnati, OH 45231
and
Indian Springs Campground
Address: 3306 State Line Rd
North Bend, OH 45052

Are these decent campgrounds?
Any others we should consider?

Thanks

Fred

Winton Woods is great. Long level pull thrus or back ins. Nice clean bathrooms. Park store. Near everything. Nice management. Nothing negative.

Here's a link to the Hamilton County Park District. Info about Winton Woods. You might also consider Steamboat Bend. Its much closer to Downtown - probably about 5 miles from the convention center. Their mimimum stay is one week @ $130. Its a beautiful setting overlooking the river. Water & 30A electric and dump station. Opens April 2nd this year. Call for reservation - its not that big.
If you decide, PM me and I can give you exact driving directions to the convention center from there or Winton Woods.

Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

If you are a FMCA member you can stay at their park. It is on the opposite side of town though.

Members can stay two nights a month for free but it's only $20.00 a night extra for more. Excellent facility, always our first stop on the way down to Az..

We stayed at Frontier in Waynesville which is about 20 minutes northeast of Cincy. The owners were very hospitable. The CG was well kept and quiet. Also, if you like walking around small towns and visiting antique stores Waynesville is a nice place to visit.

Nothing wrong with Waynesville, unless you want to be close to the Convention Center in downtown Cincy. Its 40 miles away. Waynesville is pretty famous around here for its antique stores.

We have stayed at Winton Woods several times. Very well taken care of. Nice location and easy to get into. Lots of very large Shopping Centers in the area. Call for reservation. They fill up in the summer time.

Thanks to all that posted. This forum is always a great source of information. This will help with our trip planning. We're probably going to use the Steamboat Bend or Winton Woods site.
