RSchleder,
Perhaps you can tell us why you down sized and how many different Sprinter conversions you looked at!
Look forward to your photos!

We basically downsized for the following reasons. (1) We find ourselves spending more time in the National parks these days and these parks are old and relative small so getting 40' into a spot doesn't work too well. I realize that there may be a few spot's it'll fit, but they are very limited. Also we own a 13' Scamp trailer that we take to the parks so we have 2 rv's and by moving to the class B ERA, we will consolidate to a single rv in our inventory. (2) Not having to tow a car, being able to park in essentially any parking lot and in my kids driveway when we visit are some things that look very attractive to us at this point in our life. (3) At 72 years young, we know that downsizing is in our future, now just seemed like the right time.
We looked at the Airstream, Roadtrek, and of course, the ERA. We liked all of them and believe any of these Sprinter class B's would be a great rv. One of the things that drove us to the ERA was we were able to purchase it for almost $20k less than the other two offerings and certainly didn't see a significant difference in unit quality. As they say, money talks!

Enjoy! We are also spending a lot of time visiting the N Parks and have found the Sprinter ideal.
Keep us posted on small-RV favorite spots to camp as you start using it for new travels.
I really enjoyed the size-limited Squaw Flat CG at the Needles section of Canyonlands in Utah last summer, for example. Have a great time.

The weather here in Iowa has given me an opportunity to take some pictures of my ERA as promised. Part of the reason I wanted to wait was to un-decorate the ERA a bit as it's looked IMHO like a circus wagon coming down the road. So here it is with about 60% of the decal graphics removed and looking MUCH cleaner/classier!

I have noticed that a lot of people like to take the decals off.
On every vehicle that I buy the first thing I do is pull them off.
I use to ask the dealer not to put their decals on, but I think sometimes they were offended by my request.
Thanks for the photos. I went to check them out.
So my next request would be to tell us about your camping trip!!
Thanks, Britt

We just returned from an 1800 mile trip in the ERA. Surprisingly, at least to us, everything in the ERA worked flawlessly which was not our experience with previously purchased new RV's. We averaged almost 19 mpg on the new Sprinter diesel and really like the way it drives and rides. So far, we feel we made a great decision and will be on our way again for a longer trip in a few weeks!

So glad you had a great trip! Keep on contributing about how it goes. I've gained a lot from this forum.
Couldn't access your pics yet (using an iPad) so if somebody has time to and can turn that into a blue clicky link, that would be welcome.
