I have a KVH in motion sat dish on top of roof and does anyone know if this can be converted to receive HD signals or do I have to replace it w/ new one??

If you are using DirecTv, then you need to change it. Cannot use a dome. I'd recommend the WInegard Traveller.

king dome does have a upgrade to HD for their sat but is is more than i would like to spend just to get HD.
you can Google king controls and get lots of info there.

The KVH dome can receive Dish Network HD since Dish uses the same frequency band as all their other broadcast. You will need to reprogram your KVH to receive sat 129 which is the HD sat. If you want Direct TV then a Travell'er or other open face dome is needed.

The problem is that unless something has changed in the last week or so Direct no longer broadcasts any HD on 110.

I think you are CORRECT!!!!
The problem is that unless something has changed in the last week or so Direct no longer broadcasts any HD on 110.

I also would like to change to hd one day. I have a winegard do I need to add wires and a different head??
