LOL 59 replies, I didnt know there were 59 fulltimers on here .

.. You're kind of a newbie here but you will find that the questions about none technical or mechanical subjects get the most action. Old ferts, yeah like myself, have nothing to do but chime in on these kinds of posts that require no information but just personal opinions. But, I think it's great. We learn what kind of camper to approach, who to leave alone and it keeps the forums alive.. .... As most always, IMO..

SE Washington State .... I started saying that when we were in Louisiana and I said Washington the folks there presumed I meant Washington DC .. so I started saying "Washington the State in the NW sector of America."

So it depends where we are sited at the time someone asks us.

Of course with Havasu City license plate holders on our front license plate does turn heads. We were there with friends when we were headed East and had our oil changed, yep, they took off the dealer's license plate holders, and put theirs on. We didn't notice it for 200 miles when someone said "where did you say you were from and looked at our license plate".

So then I started putting stickers on the RV - a large one on the bicycle rack states "Virginia is for Lovers". Might as well have fun ...

I usually say I am "From Upstate NY", if I just say NY, most people get a puss on them. I think NYC has a bad rep in most places around the country. God knows why?!? Its a lovely lil burb.

Iam from Ohio and my wife is from Puerto Rico. When people ask we tell them
"Home is where we roam". We have South Dakota residency, registered
vehicles, motorhome and car.

Depends on the situation but in general, I say - I'm originally from Indiana, Dave's from Maryland and now we travel full-time in our motor home. Sometimes I add that since we are both retired military, that the answer isn't always as straight forward as most folks think it will be. Then I say, where are you from?

Good answer. I say we travel all over then change the subject back over to them and ask them where they're from. Get them to talk about themselves, people always love that.

Most of the time they don't care where you're from they're just looking for an opening to talk about themselves. I don't share specific answers because of all the crime around these days.

Jeet yet? Keep on rollin'!
