Norcold refrigerator in a 2005 Itasca. It used to light, run for a while and then the flame would go out and would have trouble re-lighting. It would beep and beep until we finally got it to re-light, this usually happened in the middle of the night, but you could have guessed that with Murphy's law and all.
Now it does not light at all. Correction, if I light it with a flame it will light. If I just turn the unit on in LP mode it just sparks away. I have taken off the coverings, I can see it sparking but it does not light. Every now and then there is a small explosion of the built up gas, but the burner does not burn, it just blows itself out and continues sparking.
If I light it with a flame it will burn. I can then blow out the flame and it will just spark more and not light from the sparking.
What do I do? Thank you for the guidance.

Clean abnd adjust bruner.
While there clean burner tube. You can use flexible wire, coat hanger, and push up tinto burner tube stack about 4-6 inches and rattle the baffle.
Clean the connector on the circuit board.

When was the last time a cleaning and adjustment was done? I think you will find that your manual specifies the maintenance procedures needed. It sounds like some maintenance/cleaning is needed.

I would imagine that part of the problem with these refrigerators are that they come with the RV units that you are purchasing. Was this a new or used RV? Perhaps the appliance itself was bad.
Whenever I purchase a new RV, I make sure to replace all of the appliances. I am a little OCD, and I don't like to use appliances that other people have used. But I also find that replacing appliances is just better, overall. I don't care if you choose whirlpool refrigerators or any other model, my recommendation is replacing it sooner than later.

I sure hope you get one great price on the RV if your replacing a lot of RV style appliances…
