How about something like this?
Enclosed sunroom on one end, screened in patio cover on the other.
Built on a trailer, tow it around to wherever and watch stuff from inside, out of the weather.
Special tint so you can see out perfectly but very hard to see in.

I did years ago on a TT, used 2X6's to set on each side above the walls and also for the joist but laid them flat to clear the roof this was not the best way, as I was in a hurry.

really thinking more like aluminum or steel; and it's needing to fit on the roof of the 5th wheel/toy hauler;
Wish I could draw it.
I see people on their roof's all the time, but man I hate to do that to mine without some deck and support

Look at the options list for some of the race trailer manufacturers. They often have roof platforms available. They will usually have fold down railings in the designs. See what their using.
One way I have seen is to fasten the platform to the sides of the trailer rather than drilling holes in the roof. Less chance of a water leak. Bolting through the wall structure for strength.

If you look at how rv roofs are made I would not want much weight up there. The rear 10 ft or so of our roof is supposedly heavier so you can walk on it and use it for carrying things but the roof framing in ours is only from 2x2's so I wouldn't trust it very far.
This guy has the right design for his....
Odyssey Roof Deck
I used to have links to a couple places that made them from aluminum and if I find the links I will add them here.
Any roof deck should be made so that it sits right on the outside edge of the rv's roof as this is the strongest point. I thought about getting one made for our MH but with the wife in a wheelchair and me with really bad arthritis climbing a ladder becomes a real chore but yes it would be nice if you are at the races.
Wife's brother used to run a stock car (still does from time to time) so we do go and watch. We are regulars and when they renovated the whole seating section they actually left a spot that is a bit higher for us to park and have a good view. Just have to make sure we get there before someone else although a couple times they had it roped off for us. Pretty sweet deal....

Yes.
Clicky

Very popular when you see one for sale at a RV lot. Easy to get up to the roof, it has a staircase, so even a drunk sailor can make it back down safely! The roof hatch is about 2' wide and 4' long, so easy to get to the top deck without hitting your head. I was in one, it has seating for about 20, but the upper weight limit is only about 4,000 pounds, with the jacks down.
Then there is this one!

I wonder if the upper deck seating is a active driving position! That would be really cool if it is! For parades and what not.
This is the basic White truck cab.
More pictures on the other link.
And from Grants Pass, I used to live there, very nice town to grow up in.

I understand your desire of putting a deck platform on top of your roof. That being said, I would be very hesitant to put a deck on my roof. My main fear would be leaks. I think flexing of the deck, just by walking on it, would make it difficult to keep any mounting points from leaking due to caulking cracking. Also, many class C's, 5ers and TT's do not have a completely flat roof. You would have to allow for this. If you decide to do it, I wish you the best.

I agree Ray, the leaks and strength are what worry me. But I've seen several that have done them. I don't know that I want any more holes in the roof than we have already either. I was hoping for a ladder access.
I guess I am envisioning an aluminum deck, set a few inches above the roof itself, that way it could be flat.

Hopefully lzasitko will find the links.

I agree that it should set on the edge and above a wall studs for each support of the deck
