It may not exist, I can't seem to find the one I am looking for....

Ice Cube maker with freezer to hold the ice - in one machine

Outdoor or Indoor use

Reasonable size... maybe 20"x20"x20"

Anybody know of such a device? Where? Which one? How much? Any info much appreciated.

Thanks

That's the one I bought. Makes ice great but you can't store it in the unit. It will melt and the get made into ice again. I take mine out and bag it then put it in frig freezer. I f I need a lot more I put it in a foam chest in the basement.

Recommend you get the extended warrantee as other posters said their units failed early.

FWIW YMMV

I am definitely buying one of those this season. They are finally at a price point I can see buying one at. About $2 a day for a bag of ice really adds up over time.

Good tip about buying the extended warranty. I have heard from people who love theirs, but yea said they didn't last long.

TO the OP, I have not yet seen a model that also serves as a freezer. If you find one I have a feeling it's price might not warrant the convenience of that. Just bag it up and put in your rv freezer to stockpile it.

Home depot shows one online for $359. Stores 8 pounds of ice, which seems reasonable.

Bought one last year similar to the one downtheroad pictured at Target for $109.00...put in about a gallon of water and it makes ice in less than 20 minutes...as the ice melts, it makes more...or just add water as needed.
We set ours outside on a table under the awning, and have yet to run out of ice.

We looked for a portable ice maker but found those that we looked at wouldn't keep the ice frozen. Also, the failure rate was unacceptable. In fact, a department manager at Target explained they stopped carrying all of the ice makers due to the high return rate from failures, but they could still be ordered thru their Internet site.

We bought a Norcold portable freezer that can run on 12 volt or 120 volt. It works very, very well, but they are "pricey". We just buy ice and store it in the freezer, but I'm assuming we could also just make ice in trays our coach's freezer or this portable freezer if we wished.

The outdoor use is tough, but ice maker/freezers are pretty easy to find, but they are not cheap. ULine and Raritan are a couple of brands. They work well because they are actual freezers with Ice Makers installed.
