We had piston rods underneath the bed platform which held the platform up while we were putting stuff in or taking stuff out from underneath the bed platform.

Unfortunately, these piston rods got over extended by my DW (she's very strong !) when she quickly lifted up the bed platform. Now the pistons rods seem to be stuck out and won't retract and I can't manually push them in (I'm very weak !) (please don't laugh !! :>) )

Any suggestions ? i.e. can they be retracted somehow ? The label on the side says "Master Lift", " high pressure supports".

Thanks.

There's always the old fasion fix - keep a 2x4 in the end of the storage area - raise the bed and prop it up with the 2x4.

This is just a wild guess, so if all else has failed try having your wife lift it up, again, then push it down. It might have a ratcheting latch.

If you find you need to replace them, you might try an auto parts place. They come in many different sizes and are used on many cars.

Google STABILUS and send them a letter, or perhaps a phone call. This way, you get the professional response.

Don't know where you are in AZ but here in Yuma all the RV Parts people carry replacements. The Automotive type will not work. Way to much pressure for a bed application.
