So we figured it would be valid when we went to the RV show in Albuquerque that same week. It wasn't there at the show so the following Monday we went to Camping World where it was now on Sale for 49.99 regular price 51.99! I walked out! Today I got my Camping world sale E-mail and the Pet Fence is now on Sale for 51.99! Regular Price 62.39. WHAT! I thought sales were supposed to be LESS and NOT MORE? What is up? I was so miffed that I emailed this same thing Customer Service! It's off to Wally World I go!

Well, I have to admit, that's an interesting marketing concept? Better hurry before it's on sale for $99.99, regular price $124.99?

get in line. you are not the only one to get upset with CW. I haven't shopped at CW for about 20 years now. I don't even get their catalogs any more. I found out that I could get stuff cheaper at my Local dealer than CW and I din't have to join a club and guess what? "no shipping charges"

I guess CW thinks everyone is stupid/dumb and will fall for their fake sale prices. They just did not know there are still a lot of smart people; glad you were one of the smart people. I,too, rarely ever purchase from CW for many reasons.

Exactly what I do. CW marks up the price so high that even when it's on sale it costs more than at local independent RV suppliers. I use their website to see what the item looks like, and then buy from a more reasonable supplier.

I don't like paying "too much" for stuff BUT... CW generally has what you're looking for and if ya need it now.... well?
As for pricing in a free market - there is no right or wrong. If I owned a business I would price items differently every single hour if I felt like it. Why not aside from losing irate customers because of the "unfair" nature of it. And the term "unfair" is only in the eye of the beholder.

Agreed.
I don't like running all over trying to save a dollar. Some Walmarts have huge RV sections, others have a few shelves tucked away somewhere.
If I need something I know CW will have it, especially if we're on the road.

I don't understand, are you saying it is CW's fault that you didn't buy when it was $36.99? Prices fluctuate all the time and CW has the right to ask anything they want for an item. Kind of sounds like sour grapes to me.

Situations like this I get miffed at myself, for not going ahead and taking advantage of a good sale when I first saw it. And it has happened, where I didn't act on something quickly and the prices go up. Im not sure why you are miffed at CW. They obviously had a really great sale going that you failed to take advantage of when you first saw it.
