My daughter sent me this recipe yesterday and it ought to be illegal. Share it with someone you like alot.
4T self rising flour
4T sugar
3 T cocoa
1 egg
3T nutella
3T milk
3T oil
Combine all ing in large coffee mug. Whisk together with fork til very smooth. Micro wave on high for 1 1/2 to 3 min. I used 2 min. Top with choc syrup or whipped cream or both. Lynn and I shared this still warm out of the micro wave and it was more than enough for the two of us. Best part is there are no left overs.

Sounds fabulous!
Thanks for posting the recipe.
I don't have Nutella, so I'm going to try it with plain ol' peanut butter and see what happens...

Des this come out more like a choc pudding with a bit of crust? Just looking, the proportions are wrong for a typical cake, which has more flour than sugar, and more flour and sugar than oil, and eggs. This is fairly equal in flour sugar and oil, and it's all exceeded in proportion by the egg. Sounds kind of like a cooked from scratch pudding? What's the texture like- is it cakey throughout or more pudding inside?

Only one way to find out Leo.
For less than a buck's worth of ingredients and a few minutes time, even a failure will probably taste good
I will try it!

Well I just made it. Followed your direction to a T. Turned out like a chocolate sponge. Inedible. Where did I go wrong?

Here's a simple recipe that is very similar.
1/2 cup chocolate cake mix
1/3 cup brewed coffee
1/2 teaspoon powdered sugar
mix in a large cereal bowl till smooth and microwave for 90 seconds
top with chocolate chips and chopped nuts
microwave another 10 seconds

I made the original recipe, but since I didn't have instant flour, I used regular flour with 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/8 tsp salt. Instead of the coffee mug, I baked it in 4 small custard cups. 2 minutes in a 1200 watt oven. Topped with a mountain of whipped cream and a dash of Kahlua. Yum!
