How do your slides retract?

Ours lift up when retracting so slide-slickers wouldn't do anything but slide around

X2. My slides lift up slightly as they retract and never touch the carpeting. I guess some systems operate differently (?)...

I didn't know they existed, but I tried making a pair out of 1/8" thick polypropylene sheet. They work, but my slide is pretty tight to the floor and the sheet must be held in place or they just skid along in front of the slide. I too am noticing marks in the carpet.
