My brother and I wanted to start our own blog for our trek, which starts in June.

We're calling it "2 Fat People in an RV". Our joke is that we're both going to get mobility scooters and use them instead of having a TOAD. The blog is at www.nuiloa.blogspot.com for now, but I'm having problems with it (can't log in).

What programs do people here use?

http://firstbreathphotography.blogspot.com/2012/01/lifestyle-photography-fun-alton.html (for example only)!

Your log in problem may be in the url you posted. that is an email address with the @ in the middle of it. Replace the "@" with "." and try again. My blog is xctraveler.blogspot.com

If I am logged in to my gmail account and go to blogger.com/start it brings me right to my dashboard where I can start a new post or edit existing posts.

I can't find your blog. It doesn't come up using the complete address or just nuiloa@blogspot. Maybe you should start over. If Blogger isn't working for you try WordPress.

You're right! I forgot that I'd switched my email address!

Thanks! Problem is fixed and I have just added a new post.

I use Google's Blogspot (Jon's Journeys) to make daily updates while traveling. I also keep trip journals with more photos as well as many other links at Lakeshore Images. Lakeshore Images is a stand alone website hosted at 1&1 & produced using Adobe's Dreamweaver. A bit more difficult to generate, but far more flexible.

If you scroll down near the bottom of the RV Information Page there are links to a number of free or low cost blogging platforms. If you want to produce a website of your own, a site at 1&1 cost around $5.99 per month (including your own domain) and more space (50GB) than you can ever use. Another advantage is you can set up 250 email addresses @ your domain name.
