I have a question, is it not o.k. to use a marine fuel tank filler hose on a car/truck/MH??? I read "FOR MARINE USE ONLY" and wanting to be safe FIRST I thought to ask. If so, why? Thank you rv.net for being here.

I would not hesitate to use it. I don't have any technical info, but marine fill hoses I've used seemed to be of superior construction to any automotive ones I've used.

Better grade of hose, but it's stiff and will kink if you have much of a curve in the hose.

o.k. the one I'm looking at has wire built into it and I wonder if that will have something to do with static electricity?? just another thought that slows up my ordering one! thanks for responding.

The marine grade hose meets Coast Guard requirements that the automotive hoses don't. An approved marine grade hose will self seal when in a fire to reduce or eliminate fuel or vapor from escaping and fueling the fire.

Marine fuel fill hose will be quicker to source and as noted above is superior to automotive. If you'd like automotive hose, it's available at NAPA.
