We have a 2012 Open Range Roamer and find the fit and finish to be very good with exceptional dealer and factory support with the few very little problems we have had. Examples. Noticed a missing piece of trim in the bathroom, called Open Range and they immediately couriered the trim to my home. Also had a faulty valve in the toilet and rather than just changing the valve OR approved an entire toilet. Those were the only problems. Love the trailer and the layout.

We have camped in ours 3 different weeks and had a few minor things wrong on first trip, dealer fixed and no other problems. We will see how the insulation helps out when we spend Feb in Florida and then this summer at Myrtle Beach. So far we love ours.

Open Range is a newer company, now starting their 5th year...founded by Randy Graber who is a veteran of the RV industry having worked for Newmar, Keystone and KZ RV. Right out of the box when Open Range was starting up, Randy drilled into everyone working there that customer service and quality were going to be the #1 most important thing the company would be built on.

And he seems to have acomplished this goal. Add to that commitment that Open Range has the confidence to give a 2 year warranty and you have the basis for a great RV company. And they afre growning and doing very well!

The customers appear to be satisfied, and are enthusiastic. I'm a diehard Jayco fan, and my Wife and I love the front living room 386 FLR 5er!

Very feature rich. Good fit and finish. Excellent engineering and design. Lippert frame double stacked for strength, and very good welds. Interior cosmetics are hard to beat. All in all, a good mid-range 5th wheel.

Build quality about average. Very good customer service.

Been out in ours over 150 nights and over 3000 miles. Some small issues. A couple major problems. All taken care of by myself. All could have been avoided by a little attention at assembly.

My acid test is "would I buy it again?" I might...but would look seriously at other quality brands first.

Just picked up a 2012 399BHS. Looked long and hard before deciding on OR. I like the interiors(not everyone does). They are very proactive and build a decent higher end mid range unit. One of the first with automatic leveling. JT Stabilizers standard. They set the trend with the gray exteriors as well. Notice how many others are now producing gray units.
OR is not perfect some are still skeptical of the cable system on the slide outs. They have a good customer service reputation and have a 2 year warranty.

We too have had some issues as we have with every unit we have owned, Open Range by far was the best to deal with. We are happy with ours and would probably buy another.

Open Range is a very nice trailer, but, pick your dealer carefully. Do not try to do business with the Open Range dealer in Corpus Cristi, Tx. They are not honest people and they like to decieve people and they are good at lying. Just a word to the wise, YMMV. Buy your open range elsewhere.

I camp in South Fork Colorado. This past summer a couple parked across the road in one that was a toy hauler. Cant remeber the exact name on the unit but it was long, and had a patio that would fold down fron the side of the trailer. They really liked the unit and really had bery few problems if any. They traveld to different locations to sell video glasses, so the trailer was used a lot. I guess they stayed by me about 6 weeks. My only problem with the trailer, which is just me, I got a little tired looking at gray. Still a nice unit. They were very happy with theirs.

Lantley,

If you don't mind saying, how much did you pay for your 399BHS?
