There was also a report awhile back about Siri telling someone to shut up and various other less than pleasant Things.

That was just a junior high school prank, similar to when kids come into a store and install a NSFW screensaver or wallpaper on display phones. When you set up Siri, you can tell her your name, and after that she'll often address you by name. Somebody changed the name on a display unit to a not-so-nice phrase-- so when Siri addressed anyone by "name" after that, she used that not-so-nice phrase.

With all this internet phone stuff I can see a whole new class of people growing up. They will be called the "iPoor". And SIRI has trouble with southern accents and Brits. OUY.

If someone has a 4S can you put it in airplane mode and try Siri?

I did that-- got a message saying "Siri is not available, connect to the internet."

So Siri is at least partially responsible.
