the black grey white colors are hard for me to see. the blue black white was great... hope they add a option for guide color like they had 10 years ago...

It's nice to look at, but I would rather they pay more attention to making sure their program listings are correct, and clean up their grammar and spelling. It's embarrassing.

When I downloaded the software update to get my Guide back the "system" retained the old guide...which I think might be a good thing from the comments posted here. If the new Guide was an automatic update..I did not get it...yet.

I just had to replace one of my HD DVR's. It updated the software when I first installed the box. The new guide came at 2AM the next day. The guide will come, and I don't know of any way to stop it.

I talked to a Directv installer yesterday and he said the new guide is modeled from Sony's PS3 guide! So Sony you can have it back ok!

To all those that do not like the new guide. Could it be you do not understand all the features available? Or maybe you are one of those folks that just don't like changes. Personally, I think it is great.

They added steps to the way the old guide worked. And yes, the program guide is faster but I think the library search function is slower to load recorded shows and there is more lag after you delete a show; it still shows it for a few seconds before removing the recording. The old guide didn't do that. Some screens are faster but some are slower. As usual, it is an unnecessary revamp of the GUI for what? Good looks? The old look and feel was fine. Change for the sake of change.
