Looking to smooth out my ride in my truck a little. On concrete roads it seems like the trailer and truck combo slams the joints on the road. It makes the rear of the truck ride real hard. I have air bags on the truck but run min. air preasure to keep the trailer running level. Thinking about getting a TrailAir pin box. Would like to hear from people with this or other pin box modification. Is it worth the money and does it really smooth out the ride? My truck is a 2007 Dodge 3500 MegaCab Dually.

Worth it. But it will not totally take out the harsh ride. But enough to make it comfortable.

I use a Mor/Ryde and it works well to alleviate chucking. I think your idea is probably better yet. Is that the tri-glide? Good luck.

Just got a price for the Fifth Airborne of $953 with tax and shipping. Is this a good price?

Our Trail Air with Tri-glide was about $1150 including shipping.

Invest in an Air Ride Hitch. We have an Air Safe Hitch but there are others out there as well. Pricey?? You bet. But absolutely, without a doubt -- well worth it.
Good luck.

I also installed a 5th Airborne on mine. Definitely takes some of the shock off the trailer. I can see the trailer moving up and down somewhat independent of the truck. And does make the truck ride smoother also. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.
Looks like etrailer.com has it for $778.95, no tax/free shipping.

I got a super price on mine at a Rally in Goshen IN. I bought the Tri-Glide version. The jury is still out on the Tri-Glide jaw. I get a lot of bumping and banging when starting and stopping from it. There are a couple things I need to try. The air ride portion is great! I can for sure tell the difference. I'm thinking I like the design of the Fifth Airborne better as the airbag is covered and not sitting out in the sun. But the price on mine was really right. The other concern is the Tri-Glide jaw makes it sit 1 1/2" higher than just just the standard Trail-Air which can create some trailer leveling concerns.
