Seem you see a lot of negative posts about warranty experiences with RVs.
I recently had a great experience with Dutchmen on my Komfort fifth-wheel.
Seems that the sewer/grey water dump line was routed wrong during the manufacture of our Komfort. Documented the problem with pictures and description and Dutchmen took care of the repair.
Thanks Dutchmen!

Good to hear, especially since I also am a NEW Dutchmen product owner also!
Two trips with our Dutchmen Kodiak Travel Trailer, and NO problems found to date!
There is a lot of negative press on Trailers/RV, can really drive you crazy, and make you second guess your purchase & use-ability of these products.
Thanks,
Mark

The magic word here may be "documented".
Too many owners seem to think the manufacturer is going to take their word for what the problem is; based on a phone call or e-mail with no backup.
Document everything and do it promptly. Do not ecpect the manufacturer to take your word for it and do not expect them to fix something five years after the warranty expires (or five days, for that matter).

Good to hear they came through although it would be hard to believe any manufacturer wouldn't step up with such an obvious manufacturing defect. Enjoy your Komfort 5er!!!

I agree. I sent a message with pictures regarding a stuck front landing jack.
There was some confusion between the Dealer and Komfort and instead they sent me a complete rear landing jack setup.
I told them about the mix up and they promptly sent me the correct landing jack. I asked about returning the rear set and they told me to hang on to it. So now I have a spare rear motorized landing jack part.

I was somewhat impressed with what I had heard about Komfort when we were in the market and still shopping 9 months ago. While in Oregon, we wanted a tour of the Komfort plant - they refused, soooo we arranged four tours in Northern Indiana and was graciously accepted at each facility - one of which we purchased.
Wonder why Komfort doesn't give tours while everyone else seems to do it?
Thor owns Komfort as well as dozens of other brands, including my Big Horn.... Which I did not know at the time - It may have affected my final decision based on the Komfort "no tour" experience.

I had a Dutchmen Sport for some time and never an ounce of problems from the dealer or warranty issues. Then got the Keystone, and still the same. Even when we had a major problem, they took care of it ... fast ... and cost $0 to me! Dutchmen and Keystone are both Thor Industries companies. They're good companies they are!
