The debt in our country was created by both parties.Another reason why the Forest Service is short of money is because these environmental groups sue every time the FS proposes a change. The money they spend defending themselves could be used to pay for more rangers and upgrading campgrounds. As I said before,we need a lobbying group to work for us in Washington.

That's what our Congressional Represenitives are supposed to be.

One of the definitions of lobby:
Quote: A group of persons engaged in trying to influence legislators or other public officials in favor of a specific cause
So the congressional representatives would be the target of a lobbying effort. They are supposed to represent their constituents. They have three choices there:
1. Listen to their individual constituents via reading their mailings, e-mails, listening to comments at town hall meetings, or meeting with them in person.
2. Listen to lobbyists. This differs from #1 in that it is not one constituent that is represented, it is multiple. In many cases, it may not even be that congressman's constituents that are represented by the lobbyist.
3. Listen to their own moral compass/represent themselves without regard to their constituents. This is probably how civil rights legislation got passed. It took votes from southern congressmen; the majority of their constituents not supporting the way they voted.
