Congrats on (soon-to-be) joining the ranks. You're kinda limited with the current TV, but you can still tow alot. You should be able to find a 30-34' model that fits most of your requirements. Most of the garage models are pretty big and heavy. We really like our WW LE3305. It has 16' (if I remember correctly) full width to the first cabinet, and 4-5 more feet of 3/4 width in the kitchen. We have no need for the garage, and we get more toy space because of it. Not sure what your needs are, but it's an option. Also, our trailer is rated at 15k gross. Do-able for most 250/2500s.

If I was gonna buy another same basic type and size, I would get one thats tandem axle vise triple. 6 tires costs alot, and triples do a number on the rear axle tires. Wouldn't change anything else though. We love it.

We know two families with the 35' Road Warrior. Really sweet unit. Garage, tandem axle, and two slides. Not sure what the weight is, but might be something to look at.

Used trailers typically have the first year blues taken care of, and you don't take the initial depreciation that is associated with a new unit.

Keep us posted on what you're looking at, and I'm sure the knowledgable folks will chime in with advice. Good luck in your search!

I think a used TH is what we are looking for. The garage was more of a wish rather than a need. The only must haves are private master( w/slideout a plus) and nice size kitchen, sleeps 6 or more.Room for 2 motos and a quad. Is 15000k gross the max what we should be looking at?

Have a look at pin weights in addition to total trailer weights when making your selection. Pin weight on my 3812 Cyclone is the limiting factor for my TV. The toy haulers seem to run heavy on the nose.

For a 3/4 ton SRW pickup, the limiting factor is frequently the pin weight of the fifth wheel, rather than the gross weight. I dont know any of the specifics for your chevy, but for many similar trucks you may find up to 15000 Lb to be within the GCVWR; however the 2500-3000 lb pin weight will put you over the GVWR of 10000 (or whatever it is).
So if you're trying to stay within or close to your tow vehicle's ratings, pay attention to the pin weights, which unfortunately are much less regulated/standardized/accurate.

Your 6200lb rear axle rating will be the limiter in this case. 2500lb pin will be pushing it. Plus, what is the gearing in the rear end? the 8.1 is a puller, but not as good as the DMax. You might want to keep the total weight lower than 15k lbs if you can.

Another perk to under 15k with a fifth wheel is you only need an endorsement on your license instead of a ncdl to stay legal in California.

Knowing you want a fifth wheel, but Fuzion has a great pull behind floorplan. Its the model 300. You might consider checking that out. The 302 and 322 Fuzion fifth wheels are the smallest of the Fuzion line and offer a separate garage. You might be pushing the limits a little with your pickup but I would think it would be doable. My 06 3500 Duramax pulls my 322 very easily. I dont think that the same trailer would over tax your 2500 8.1
