I recently bought a Aerolite 233 Cub. How do I know if it is a TPO, PVC, or EPDM (Rubber)? I know it looks like it is covered in a sheet (blanket) of some type of "rubber" dont know if it is TPO, PVC, or EPDM if there is a difference.
I've done so much with so little for so long, I'm now qualified to do anything with nothing.

I dought that it is PVC, more than likely TPO or EPDM. TPO is the newest version and is considered to be less susceptible to puncture.
Care and maintence is the same.

my Roo came with paper work from the roof's manufacturer, with maintenence instructions and the type of roof it was.
it was in with the lousy owner's manual.

I went to Dutchman web site and looked thru the pdf files. I did not see any thing under the owners manual for the roof. But I did see under the "Rubber Roof" catagory and everything under it has Dicor EPDM so I guess I would say that my roof is EPDM. There was no mention about TPO.

Usually the EPDM is smooth, kind of rubbery but the TPO is hard, textured. At least thats been my experience on the ones I've had with "rubber" roofs.

You could contact the manufacturer and give them the VIN and they should be able to tell you what kind of roof material is on your rig.

I have TPO, the most obvious difference is that it is very white as opposed to a slight off-white grey for EPDM. EPDM will feel softer and may have some grey residue collecting and running down the side of the RV. TPO is more slippery when wet.
