WOW - I got four additional 225amp/hr 6Vdc CC batteries at the Zoo Town Costco for $65.00 each about 8 months ago. Guess the price like everything else has gone up

I think I'd name my first-born "Kirkland", that's how much I love Costco products.

So you are willing to pay a 55%-60% premium for a couple extra AH and "maybe" an extra 6 months warranty......Not me, when I know the Costco/Sam Club GC-2 batteries will last just as long as the over hyped, over priced Trojan.

I don't use them but I do recommend them. Plenty of happy owners of those batteries.

My local Trojan dealer says they have a 1 year replacement, then pro rated for the next year...gives me a warmer fuzzy feeling...

Reminds me of the early '70s when Sears wanted to boost sales of their Die-Hard battery. They made NO physical changes to the battery, but they doubled the warranty and advertised it as the greatly improved Die-Hard. No one seemed to notice, or care, that they also significantly raised the price.

Since the battery generally outlasted the prevailing warranty period of the time, they effectively doubled their profits with NO additional investment or replacement costs.

If a longer warranty makes you sleep better, have at it....

I usually figure that a long warranty means they had to offer it

Remember when Ford had to offer the 5 year body warranty?

Yesterday in San Bernardino I purchased two GC-2 Deep Cycle batteries for $79.99 each plus tax. If my battery box was any larger, I would have bought another two. I think the last time the DW and I were with our GD at Sams Club they were going right around 70. We haven't joined Sam's yet.

Sometimes people need to buy a name.
They are made by Johnson Controls or US Battery. Do you really think Costco makes batteries?

I figured out that both Walmart and Interstate RV batteries are made by Johnson Controls----$50 difference in price for an identical battery with different stickers on it. Look at them!!
