Again, the wife and I are heading out in the spring. She has an AT&T phone plan, and I have a Verizon plan. We need to narrow it down to one plan.
Which one works better on the road?

Decisions decisions... ugh...

Thanks,
Joe

From the folks in our extended camping family if you stay on the east coast either one will work well. Out west ot even midwest (remote) the folks say that Verison works much better.

Check the coverage maps of each for where you're more likely to be. For us, Verizon has been the most efficient.

Another rote for Verizon. It's hard to find anywhere that Verizon doesn't work and they have "old school" customer service, meaning that they care about your business and resolve problems instead of passing the buck. I wish all companies treated their customers as well as Verizon does.

Verizon. We have Verizon cell phone and a Verizon Mi-Fi Hotspot. No problems with either. Only one place lately. Sam A Baker State Park Missouri. I bought a Wilson Sleek booster and even made calls from there.

Verizon provides the best coverage in the western and southwestern areas and has good customer service. When I'm in remote areas people with other services often ask to borrow my phone.

I imagine that both will work just fine....as AT&T has service everywhere, but Verizon is a close second.
I think I remember reading in Consumer Reports, that the Verizon has better Customer Service, and our next door neighbor is one of those folks. She's great, but hates her job....

It may just make sense to figure which plan is going to end soonest, and then switch over....rather than pay for any early close-out.
Or, see which will give you a better deal....If you go into their store, and tell them that you and spouse have different plans, and you wonder what they can do for you....they may offer more perks, than they normally do.

Bottom line, you're best to make two lists, with all the pluses and minuses that both offer, and then go from there!

Good Luck

As part of my job, I carried AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile for a while. Traveling by motorhome in big cities, small cities, state parks, and fairly isolated places, I found that I could get a Verizon connection almost all of the time, then usually get Sprint (but not as much as Verizon), then T-Mobile, and far down on my experience list was AT&T. So, now I carry Verizon and have connection in almost everywhere I go.

Verizon by far the best, have employees with all the others and lots of dead zones.
