I'm beginning to think the only workamping to be found is at Amazon or being a gate guard?

Why would you think that? Absolutely every campground, state, or federal park we go to has workampers.

Oh I know. It just seems like it's been really quiet lately. Every time I look at this site, all I see is gate guarding and amazon.

If you are looking for paid positions, there are others out there. Workamper news has quite a few listings. Do a search for Work Camping, you may find a lot more than you thought was available.
Also, national park associations recruit and hire concession workers in a lot of service areas.
Now, if you are looking for something that does not provide a paid salary, but provides an RV Site with amenities, then you may want to check out: vol.gov at the below link. Some agencies not all, will provide a stipend, which is usually listed in the volunteer position announcement.

Alot of the parks are seasonal too.
As well as the holiday season is here. In 9 days you won't hear anything about Amazon for 10 months...

First-thanks for your service. Don't know how long you have been workamping, but you have to "reverse seasons" to find work. In other words, us full timers/workampers have already secured (or are hard at it) summer employment. A lot of choice winter jobs have repeat workers and/or require you to work part time through the slow months. Amazon and Gate Guarding are a traditional source of winter income, hence all the traffic right now. Some workampers have repeat gigs-working the same jobs and migrating for the seasons. Doing this on an off and on basis can make securing employment difficult. I assume you have looked at Workamping.com, Workers on Wheels, Working Couples, etc. P.M. me if you want a hint for summer employment.

You must be looking in the wrong places or for the wrong positions. Heck I was forced to retire in September and have my first workcamp job, albeit free, already lined up for next summer. In fact I could have had three months in a row if I wanted them.

I don't think any one caught on to what you were trying to say. I noticed the same thing lately, all there seems to be in the Workamping forum is gate guard and Amazon postings..It gets a little tiresome.

I dunno, I quit taking this forum too seriously because there were too many snide remarks made when I was trying to get info :-) (and I'll add that I'm Jo so I don't embarrass my husband)
