Sold the house, close in January, disposing of possessions now.
Does anyone have any tips on how to pack the 5th wheel to make the most use of available space? There is a lot of room in the shower; we will have the laundry baskets on the floor but is there any way to use the space above it?
All tips will be appreciated! Help us pack!! Thanks!

You will learn as you go. There is no one way. I have redone mine several times. Enjoy the trip. I have been full timing for a while now and doing quite well.

We went full time for 10 years and what worked for us was packing as if we were going out for the weekend.
We did not try and pack the whole house in the RV, but actually only took what was absolutely necessary.
The shower we kept empty because we used it.
Worked for us, but to each their own

I suggest going camping for a week somewhere closeby and seeing what you need/don't need. You're packing way too much already.

I change out (fiver or motorhome) seasonal clothing packed in plastic storage boxes (clear) in the bay/storage area. Only about 2 dressier outfits, 1 pair of dress shoes, rest are jeans/sweatshirts/tee-shirts/shorts. Sandals/athletic shoes round out the shoe list. Jackets as needed.
Can use a tension rod in the shower to hang wet stuff on or set clothes baskets on top of milk crates (additional storage). But, a bunch to take out each time to use the shower.
We've been full-timing now for 7+ years and it works for us.
Good Luck... Have FUN... great lifestyle.

I just sent you a private message about how we packed for full-timing. I hope it's helpful in some way.

Get rid of the laundry baskets, use collapsible bags. If you are going to use the shower don't store things in it except when traveling. You will find places for everything after a few months. You won't need as many clothes. We have about 2 tons of stuff.

We full time in a 33' Class A with 2 slide. Less is best for clutter free fulltiming, plus weight considerations. You'll be surprised at how little you need when you travel. I match outfits and hang them together. I don't buy anything that needs ironing!! I have a small basket where I keep socks. Use clear bins for seasonal clothes and shoes, small baskets in bathroom for meds, shampoo, etc. Zip plastic bags for linens. Large suction hooks in shower for towels, washcloths. We hung a closet organizer (cloth) in the closet for tee shirts because of limited dresser space. We keep the shower clear. Use vertical space in every cabinet with lazy susans and stacking shelves. To dry towels and wet clothes get the outside clothes line that attached to the ladder. When you buy something, get rid of something. During the first year, we went thru everything every month and decided if we really, really needed it. Keep the "decor" items to a minimum to keep it homey but not cluttered. Pull-out drawers under the kitchen and bath cabinet helps reach the items in the back. You'll figure it out as you go. That's part of the adventure. Enjoy!!

Empty the rig and get measurements then fill with plastic totes where you're going to use for storage. Try to use all of your available storage compartments, but use those totes, they're a huge space saver.
