While trying to increase the flow in my shower I removed the hose from the faucet, it was really tight but came off with some persuasin. I replaced the shower head and took out any restricters but when I reinstalled the hose I couldn't get it to stop leaking! Tried teflon tape, pump pliers gently but still leaking. Any thoughts out there?
Thanks, KB

Or replace it.

FWIW, Teflon tape is not a sealer. It allows NPT threads to engage better for a tighter seal while filling any micro imperfections in the metals surface. If you have a joint that needs "sealing", you need something other than teflon tape.

You need 2 washers or a thicker washer to take up space the lip of the restrictor had.

replaced the gasket, tried 2 gaskets but now think the plastic faucet has a crack from when I first took it off! Anyone know of a better, stronger shower faucet that might stand up better?

Thanks KB.
