Usually by this time of year I would be down in the desert. The lousy economy has a ripple effect. In the past year I have found I have had to spread my resources around my "community". Christmas is a big financial hurdle that will have to be crossed before I head south. I suspect other snowbirders have had their plans changed by stuff thats really outside their control.

We are not leaving until after Christmas. Grandchildren keep us here. Will head back North beginning of February I am a semi retired CPA and I have to be home for tax season. Does that make us snowbirds?? Going to Solver Lakes south of Naples.

Left home Dec. 1 traveling in great weather and avoiding the January travel like last year! Arrived at Port Charlotte, FL on December 4th at our park. Been GREAT so far..... decorated our palm tree with lights today as our "snowbird Christmas tree" - shorts and flip flops. What more can you ask for????

lots and lots of empty spaces and empty park models here just north of Parker Az...if there is a big influx after Christmas, the birds will have plenty of spots to choose from..
