Just an introductory post. I’ve been following with great interest this forum for a couple of months now, since we bought a new TT. I’m sure that I’ll have quite a few questions, as the new RVs seem to be quite different from the older ones and bring with them a few issues and concerns which I never ran into with our older RV,which is a 1989 Wilderness 5th wheel. This was an excellent unit, with no problems other than routine maintenance.

Both my wife and I are retired and decided to get the unit which we hope will last us for the next 10 years, which should pretty much do it. We are from the Southern interior of B.C. and use our RV for about 3 months in the summer camping at a fishing resort, which we have been doing for about 28 years now.

We started in 1983 with a small truck camper, then to the ’89 5th. Wheel, and now a 2011 Timber Ridge 250 RLS TT.

Welcome to rv.net. You'll find us to be a happy bunch with alot of combined knowledge. I know you see a 5th wheel in my signature, however I also have a 32 foot TT. You'll have questions and we will try to answer to the best of our ability.

Glad you found us.

Welcome to the forum and ask all the questions you want. You may even get some useful answers. I still use a 1989 Wilderness TT and I don’t have near the problems many people seem to have with the new ones. I often wonder if it’s a case of “they don’t make them like they used to”.

Welcome! I don't think that you are going to have any problem making your TT last 10 years. Mine was manufactured late in 1994 And it is still in Very good shape for its year model.

Now, I must warn you, Some of our discussions on this forum can get a little.. vocal... Please don't mind it. We are quite passionate about RV'ing and we each do it a little different.

One thing you will find here, lots of experience and technical knowledge. You will also find a group of people who care about towing safely and helping each other out.
