I was wondering if any of you use your toad as a supplement storage "trailer" of sorts?
I am planning to carry our two golf bags with clubs and our 2 folding bikes in the Toyota Yaris toad. And then, when we reach our destination in Florida, we will take the items out and store them in our rig or at the campsite.
I realize most of you have large rigs and probably do not have to carry anything in the toad but I thought I would ask anyway.
Anybody else doing the same basic thing? I realize that keeping the weight of the toad under control is essential for safety purposes. I will not allow more items to be stored in the toad. The clubs and bikes should not add more than 150 lbs to the toad which is rated at 2300 lbs.

All the time. We towed an Element until it has hit hard sitting. Used to carry the bikes in it, a smoker sometimes, anything big and bulky that was coming out as soon as we got there.

My towing capacity is 10,000 lbs. My toad weighs 3150 lbs. Guess where all the "junk" is carried ...I carry extra tools, the sat dish, dog food etc. We buy the big size stuff at Sam's Club/Costco and I keep the large containers of laundry soap, softener etc. in the toad. I refill the smaller bottles Debi keeps in the coach for wash days. We also keep paper towels and paper plates and extra sodas when we find them on sale. I also keep my golf clubs in there cuz you just never know when the "urge" is gonna hit ya... ......Dennis

Yes.....I have towed the car just to carry the bikes and the extras knowing that I probably wouldn't be using the car once at my destination. It's my cargo trailer at times.

This is wild.
I was thinking when I posted this topic that, "Nah. Nobody stores stuff in the toad."
This is getting to be interesting. So far, it seems we have bikes, smokers or grilles, extra tools, the sat dish, dog food, laundry soap, softener, paper towels and paper plates...
Anything else???
