One of the kids did it this year, ran around the fifth wheel and WAM! Hit his head right on the pin box. Before I park the camper for the winter and forget to post this i think I found a solution. Im going to get a tire tube and put around it when its not hitched up to the TV. Does anyone use something a little better, thats all I could think of.

That's an additional benefit of my tripod stabilizer.

I don't recall ever hitting the pinbox, but the bedroom slide out jumped out and got me in the forehead several times. I finally put an orange traffic cone next to it to remind me to stay away.
Those foam swimming noodles or foam pipe insulation work well to cushion the edges.

I put my clothes drying rack right next to it. I have to navigate around that and hopefully will never clock my bean. With that being said, the bedroom slide edges have my name on them sooner or later. Not to steal this thread, but what do most use to keep from whacking their heads on the slide edges?

Pool noodles are good, you can get them in orange to kinda warn you of the danger.

Bottom of bedroom slide many more times than the pinbox.

Of course, I am talented enough to hit both, multiple times.

Those pool noodles solved the bedroom slide problem; first thing to go on when the slide was extended.

I whacked my forehead on the bottom of bedroom slide.......7 stitches and a nice diagonal scar.

I whacked my head on pin box.....nice lump & stars.

Both happened within first two months of owning 5'vr.......haven't done it since.
Pain is a real motivator for me.......after getting hurt I rarely do whatever hurt me a second time.

If I did do it again, I guarantee my rig would look like a carnival float there would be so many brightly colored doodads hanging from slideouts/pinbox etc.
