We are talking about trading in our Gulfstream Canyon Trail on a Toyhauler. The dealer said he cant give me anymore on my trade with the Trail Air and said I can take it off if I want to sell it if I put my original back on.Are these not hot items anymore or am I just waisting my time? I already feel like hes lowballing me but he offered me more than the other dealer in the area for our camper. I would put it on the other camper but it already has one.

If the offer is the same then there is craigslist 3-400$ in your pocket, i would never let it go if i got 0$ for it and had the old one to install.

I didnt see any on craigslist or ebay but I guess I can fight it off and let it hold down my garage floor if nothing else for a while,I just remember how heavy it was to put on.

You might get more for the trailer on your own as well. We did not like the trade in offer on a 1 year old trailer, so we sold on our own and received about $3k more than the trade would have brought, and this was on a small 18' TT that was $9995 new. We did let the weight distribution kit go at no additional cost.

The reason that there are none on Craigslist or Ebay is because they are a hot item. Throw the OEM one on and sell it on your own. 3-400 sounds low but it may differ by area. Good luck!
Enjoy the new rig!

Put it on your new trailer. The dealer knows exactly what he is doing, he knows what is worth and is just low-balling you. I wouldn't tow a large fifth wheel with out one!

Wish I had a Trailair on mine. Had one on my last trailer. Liked it. Have a 5th Airborne on current trailer. Not as nice IMO.

The Trailair is a big asset over stock pin.

Yeah worth a good bit...just had the trailair with triglide installed on my 5er....total cost about $1250 installed....IMHO either move it (preferred if it fits) or sell on ebay/craiglist....
