Does anybody have a link to where I can find the jack pictured below? I can't find one that has the teardrop shape on the shaft.

Thanks,
Wade

Unless you want to keep the trailer "stock" the round ones can be bought at most any trailer dealer and can't see why it wouldn't work. My HaulMark cargo trailer has one. It's a good feature though, it keeps the shaft from turning when there is no weight on it.... Good luck..

Anyway, I agree, why not just get a nice round one?
Odds are, you'll have a heck of a time finding one like this, and if you do, it's bound to be in poor condition anyway.

All the round ones I've seen have been to large in diameter. I have no problem getting something newer and more secure, also a side crank would be nice. Guess I'll have to go measure the diameter and do some more googles!

Alright, well at least now I know how the inside of a vintage jack works. I got the thing apart and I'm guessing McZippie that the nut is the thing on top that is also teardrop shaped. The nut on my jack has no threads, I honestly don't see a way to get that nut out as the metal tube is crimped around it. Adding a nut to the top doesn't seem to be the answer as it wouldn't be tall enough to support the threaded rod.

Looks like I need to find a new jack. The issue I came to when I bought what I thought was going to be the replacement jack is that I bought the kind that bolts to the side of the frame, but my frame isn't tall enough to accept the bolts on the bottom of the bracket. Are there any support issues with the jacks that fold up while in transit?

I actually have a jack very similar to that on as well and it's very unstable. However, it did save my butt when the original one broke!

Thanks for the thought and link.
