I go to Silver River State Park several times a year and I do shop at the Walmart. There is almost always RV's parked in their parking lot. It is a very busy Walmart and it might be hard to find a out of the way place to set for the night. There is several private campgrounds in the area and you should have no problem finding a place to set for the night. Another thing you might do is call the campground and see how late you can arrive. I do know they have a gate at the entrance with a draw bar.

Why couldn't they go pass Wal-Mart to the intersection where the water park is, turn right and go a mile, turn left into Silver Springs State Park? I wouldn't stay at Silver Springs Wal-Mart, not much room to park and the place is always jumping.

Question:

You have been camping at Silver Springs State Park?
How would you rate this park?
I"ve never been there but thats where I"m planning on going after I overnight at Walmart.
The reason for staying at Walmart is that it may be very late when I get to Ocala.
Thanks for the information it is greatly apprecated.

The sites are huge at Silver River SP so arriving after dark is no problem. If you have reservations, call the park and they will give you the gate combination.

I have heard that access is pretty yight there, but there is a Walmart at exit 314 that is easy, and there are usually about 10 rigs there overnight.

Looking for Free Wifi I noticed SSID " HRM_Police_Surveillance_Van_#2" Think it's safe to connect?
