Not sure if this can go here or not. A few weeks ago we were camping and when I was packing to leave I noticed that I had some wetness in my basement right under the toilet. So I shut off the water since we were leaving anyway and decided to fix it at home. I tried tightening the fittings and it worked on some but not on others, so this weekend I went to the camper supply store to get some more fittings. The guy sold me some quick connect fittings. I put them on today, one tee and one union, I hooked the hose to the camper and went to turn it on and came back water spraying out of the new fittings. So needless to say I'm not very happy right now. Did I miss an important step with the new fittings? Sorry for the lengthy post.
Happily married for 1 year now and hopefully more to come.

Those quick connect fittings are just about foolproof.
Either they are not the right fittings for the tubing that you have, or you have not seated the tubing in the fittings.

I pushed the tube all the way in and then pulled back to put the c collar on it. Thats it right. Its half inch pex and thats what they said the fitting were for.

Wrong fitting for the hose OR you may need to cut the tubing a bit.

haddy1 is right, but also I've had problems with pex fittings leaking if the tubing isn't clean or if there is a burr on the tubing.

Is it the hot water or the cold water...may not be PEX fitting at all....I had a hot water leak, and found out the inside of the brass fitting coming off the tank had a crack on the inside, and tightening it only made it worse....didn't find it until I removed the fitting. New fitting and problem was solved.

I had this issues this summer with same types of fittings. What i discovered was if the hose isnt cut straight (or close to ir), It will not seal correctley. I removed/trimmed/ and then re fitted and had no issues after.

Ok guys problem solved. You guys are great. I did figure out that the quick connect fittings do not work very well when the pex isn't cut straight or it does have a bur or something. I did figure out that the pex has to be pushed in tight and then the c ring put around the fitting. Thanks again for all the help.
