Has any one installed a back up camera in front of their long box to ease loading their TC, if so please share with me your installation.

much cheaper and easier to put an alignment stripe/mark on the bed and the front of the camper.

I bought one these wireless cameras. It came with a small monitor but I use the camera in conjunction with my 7" back up camera monitor. Most of the wireless systems are all the same frequency and will work off of the different monitors. The camera has a magnetic mount and its rechargeable. Once charged up it last for months. I keep it in the center console and if I need it I just turn it on and stick it to anything metal on the truck. I use mine mostly for hooking up trailers but no reason it would not work for alignment in loading a TC.

I specifically bought a wireless backup camera thinking it would be the answer to my difficulty in loading my lance on the 1 ton dually...I only have 1/2 inch clearance on both sides and thought this would be the answer....The camera works great for other applications but it provided a fish-eye, therefore a limited view of my loading process procedures....

Thats a great point.......a little different if you are using a camera to zero in on a receiver hitch compared to getting a full view of both sides of a TC. A camera might work if you can load successfully by watching just one side of the TC and truck opening.

My third camera was just delivered for my hard wired Rear View Safety system, and that is exactly where it's going, front and center of the bed for loading...I figure it'll reduce the number of discussions my wife and I have over where the camper is in regards to the truck...if you know what I mean....

If you have problems with spatial relationships when you're looking directly at the camper through the truck's back window, you will be totally lost looking at a tiny screen while facing the opposite direction.
Here's a thought: Place a stripe of 1" blue masking tape vertically down the exact center of your back window.
Place a stripe of 2" blue masking tape vertically down the exact center on the front of your camper.
Now you should be able to line right up by looking through your rear-view mirror.

I bought a Swift Hitch and use in guiding the camper onto the truck. I still do one "get out and take a look" session. I also use it for trailer hitch hookup, looking behind things that are too big to move, down pipes, etc. It's a real handy device! And it's not a fisheye lens so what you see is what you get.

I'm going the camera route because I use man-made 1"x6"s on the inside of each wheel well and this way I can see them and the lineup perfectly. I will add the tape (makes great sense!) but as I only have about 1/2" clearance between the side of the tailgate opening and the TC's bathroom in the left rear, the more information the better!
