We use our Hoover in our trailer. It's the same one we use at home for the purpose and it works very well. It's a little tight in the bed room but the area is small and we manage to make it work even there.

What, for the lack of a better term, "soap" are you folks using?

The DW and I use a Bissell Little green machine. It's small compact and it does a fine job getting around things like the driver's seat useing hot water and carpet shampoo it's great. and we take it with us on long trips just in case we might need it. About $75.00 at wallmart.

I use the Bissell Little Green Machine as well.

The best "soap" is no soap. I use instead white vinegar, leaves no soap residue to attract dirt back and is a fantastic cleaner. The smell goes away quickly.

Fred make the industrial carpet cleaner pay! Have your wife clean the carpets in your home before she goes out to the coach! This will justify the cost. And, hopefully she will keep the noise down while your sitting in the big chair watching the Raiders beat San Diego.

I rent a Rug Doctor with the upholstery tool and hose from Home Depot. I can use the machine in the open areas and get every other carpeted and upholstered nook and cranny with the upholstery and hand tool. Works great. I usually do my house carpeting at the same time and get my $ worth on the rental. It does take a bit of ambition though.
