Seems such searches will only add to the fire with the law suit GG, Inc is involved in. My 2 cents worth, but these jobs being "contract employment" has a limited lifespan.

I guess I don't understand what one has to do with the other....ANY company has the right to test employees or sub contractors and to set the rules for conduct on their property.

We are on a gate for Swift Energy by Artesia Wells about 3 mile east of I-35. Just thought I would post a picture of our latest visitor.

Our only visitors at this gate, so far, are coyotes and snakes. The rancher sprayed his pastures beside us 2 days ago and the snakes are on the move....LOL.

I was not arguing the fact they request to search your RV, although I know your RV is considered your home in TX. IIRC, the DOL is saying by being required to be on the gate as the guards are, they are employees, not contractors. JMHO, but requiring one to submit to a search of their home, will only support the DOL's position farther.

Is GGS putting people on the Marathon gates now? Does anyone know where the Marathon gates are located? The last I heard was that Marathon was still in the process of obtaining official possession of the leases, but that was a week or so ago. It sounds like GGS has a lot of people wanting jobs. At least the Marathon gates will put some of them to work.

Don/Shar, love the picture of your "visitor". Now that would be a wonderful sight to see! All we have seen are some cows, coyotes, a jackrabbit and the farm dogs from down the road.

We are on a hunting ranch, we have seen havalina, coyotes, roadrunner, bobcat, and saw a mountain lion about a mile back in the ranch. He was big and had about 6 foot tail.
