I am trying to track this down for my Brother In Law. He has a 2011 Cougar 5th wheel with a rear kitchen, one slide. Not sure what the model number is. Shower is in the bedroom. He is getting a leak at the base of the shower not sure where it is coming from. Is there a access panel for the shower like where the drain is or where the water line feeds the shower?

Is the shower actually leaking, or is some water getting around the curtain when someone takes a shower? On some campers (like ours), if the camper is at all leaning in the correct direction water can run along the top of the "tub", behind the curtain, and down to the floor.

Many 5ers have a small door on the outside wall. If not then start with letting the water run down the drain for a while without someone taking a shower and look for a leak. If not then stand in the shower and run more water around your feet because sometimes the weight of someone will cause the pipes to press apart. Also the water could be coming from the shower faucet behind the wall. Good luck.

Anything to do with the dreaded "leak" that I couldn't easily locate and fix - I'd be taking the trailer back to the dealer. It's a 2011 year model and still under warranty.
Good luck with it.

You've gotten the best moves already. I had a similar problem. Ran the shower with and without someone standing in it. Found the access panel and checked for flaws there. I was lucky. Discovered it only "leaked" when DW showered. Turns out she'd spray water over the top and onto the floor.

Just in case others have this issue and don't have this particular model/type of RV, there's sometimes an interior access hole hidden inside any cabnetry that adjoins the shower where the fawcets/plumbing have a common wall. It's usually down low and you have to be on the floor using a mirror to see anything. This access might not allow anything but a view of the leak, reaching or fixing the leak is another problem.
Unfortunately, by the time a shower leak shows itself, the carpet and floor under the stall has to be saturated and if you aren't quite level it will migrate to the lowest side/area. This can lead to quite a bit of water damage before you even know there's a problem.
Ask me how I know!

We had a leak under our shower and it only happened while showering. Inside there is a factory mounted handle that came loose, allowing the water to run down the inside. I pulled it off and sealed it with a good marine sealant.
