I have a 31ft fifer and will be in the Bad Lands of South Dakota in a couple of days 10/10-11. Can anyone tell me if there is any open CG's in the Park. Do you know the name of CG's. I don't need power, water or dump. Thanks.

Not sure if still open but there was some spots inside the park last month. We got in late and just slept in a RV/bus spot in the vistors center parking lot.

Cedar Pass Campground is about halfway on the loop. All level sites and nice location. No sewers though. There is a dump station. There is also a KOA in Interior, SD. We stayed at the KOA in Belvidere, and thought it was a very nice campground. From there, we took the Badlands Loop which brings you back to I-90 at Wall Drug. Several close the middle of October though, so you need to call. Cedar Pass and the Interior KOA are the only ones on the perimeter of the park....Dennis

We spent 5 days at the Interior KOA. I liked the CG and it is very easy to get to the park from there. The KOA is right on a river and has a lot of trees. We stayed at the NP CG some years ago and as I recall it was basically a bare parking lot.

Cedar Pass CG. No hook-up. 1/2 way thru the park. And great spots for a 5er. Most sites are pull-along beside the campground road, perfect for an overnight stay. Enjoy, we always do.
