Has anyone had a problem with there Heartland 5er. If so since Heartland was bought out by Thor have you had a problem dealing with the company. We were just at a RV show talking with a dealer about problems with units and not just one certain unit. The answer he was getting form the company is that they were isolated problems yet the dealer has several rvs with the same problem. Dealer is saying its hard to sell the units with no backup by the company. I have known this dealer for years and he always has stood by what he sold.

Here is a link to the Heartland Owners Group forums.

I have been to 3 Owners Rally's since the sale of Heartland to the Thor group. At the Homecoming Rally this past June, the President of the Company addressed the buyout. His speech followed the general opinion of the owners I have spoke with. Customer service still remains a high priority with Heartland. In my experience, there has been little change in their excellent customer service.
Excellent company

Try asking your question at the Heartland Owners Forum No doubt, like with all major brands, you will find some Heartland onwers with issues. I do believe you will find many more that are very pleased with both the product and the company.

I have had two new fivers over the last seven years, a Jayco Eagle 2005 and a Crossroads Cruiser 2010 and my experiences with service fro these two Mfgs is nothing but tops in the industry and Crossroads is a Thor program. We all know that historicly the product quality in this industry has generaly been poor and price did not seem to matter. I firmly believe the service you receive depends on your dealer, we spent more time researching dealers instead of Brands.
Good luck and stay safe.

Heartland is still run by the original founders including Brian Brady (former CEO and President of Damon RV) and his all pro team of RV Building Veterans, and started up in 2003, quickly becoming the 5th largest manufacturer of 5th wheels in the US.
Thor bought a $200 million dollar 51% interest in Heartland in 2010, believing that Heartland was doing something right...and left the executives and upper management completely alone to continue developing the company. Heartland's claim to fame is thinking out of the box with innovative floor plans, unique ideas and fully loaded stardards lists.
Heartland, by the way, made $400 million dollars selling RV's in 2010!
It's worked so far, and if it "ain't broke, don't try to fix it"! Thor is basically bankrolling Heartland, Heartland can buy their supplies cheaper because of Thors buying power as the #1 Largest RV Company, and Thor likes to take a hands off approach.
I haven't heard any glaringly bad stuff about Heartland, or their customer service. It seems like they are doing well, and growth of a business comes when people tell other people how much they like a particular product!
