Looking to go up 2 nights and attend the NC State Football game(s). Just looking a simple, quiet and clean place to stay.

Who has stayed at the RVacation park?

Never stayed at RVacation, but we've stayed at the Smithfield KOA a few times. It is expensive, but it is a nice KOA. If the price was more reasonable, we'd stay there more often. The owner is very nice and so is his staff. The bathrooms are always spotless and the last 2 times we went, they were serving free waffles for breakfast.

If you are going to the State Game why not stay at the Fairground, right next door. They have put in some new site, I have not been there since the new ones have opened but it would be convenient to the Game. Smithfield is some ways away, not to bad but it is a typical KOA..all gravel, some not too level, but doable...

Too much going on at the State Fair. I had rather stay in Smithfield but thanks for the info.

Nice park with very friendly staff, owners on premises. We use it every year as an overnight stop. Sites are all large pull throughs, easy access to hookups. Yes, close to 95 and rr tracks but we didn't find the noise excessive.

We stayed at Rvacation a couple of years ago. Very convenient when travelling on I-95. We have also staed at the Smithfield KOA. It has more amenities and also costs more. It is owned by the same owner as the Wilmington KOA and I think one other. Check for their specials. We had stayed 2 nights in Wilmington in February and got a night free in Smithfield in May with their stay 2 or more nights in one park and get a free night in another park special. There are also some other specials running this time of year so check the Park's website and the KOA website. We just got 25% off a night at a KOA for being an Allstate RV Roadhelp member.

I haven't been to any of these but they are much closer to Carter Finely than smithfield.

There is also Jordan Lake State Park but the gates might close too early depending on Game Time.

Another vote for Smithfield KOA. We spent two one-nighters there last year and would stay there again. Didn't notice it being overly expensive, and the WiFi was dependable.
