Wow, thanks for all the suggestions! Will bookmark this thread so I can find it again. Looks like 11 days may not be enough and I'll have to do it again next year.

We spend from Dec till May in Key West and still find something new every year.

Try Harpoon Harry's Restaurant at the corner of Caroline and Margaret Streets. Great breakfasts! Reasonable prices.

Try Latitudes on Sunset Key just off Key West. Free boat over and back. Make reservations the day before at 305-292-5300. Pricey but absolutely OUTSTANDING! They'll tell you about parking and they do validate.

El Siboney Cuban Resataurant is also excellent and reasonable. 900 Catherine Street.

The butterfly conservancy is very interesting.

We've probably eaten in 50-60 different restaurants there and not had a bad meal in any of them.

You must pay to park almost everywhere and it is strictly enforced. If you have bikes park out by Smathers Beach or near Fort Zachory Taylor State Park and bike everywhere. Very bicycle friendly. Just make sure you lock them up.

I guarantee you'll LOVE it. The friendliest people I've ever met in my worldly travels. Just keep an open mind as there are lots of free spirits and alternate life styles there.

If you don't like huge crowds try to avoid Duval Street if there is more than one cruise ship in port. They all leave port by about 5 pm.

I had a good time drinking beer & listening to the band at Sloppy Joe's.

I didn't drive, I was on a cruise.
