Im considering putting a cb in our MH and Iv got a question.
The MH is a Monaco and has fiberglass sides and top.
What would be a recommended antenna mount and length of antenna for this rig?
Thanks.

Are you sure you do not have an antenna already? My 08 Holiday Rambler by Monaco was listed as CB ready and the cable was stuffed up under the dash and hidden so well I had to have the dealer find it for me. This was not an option but listed as standard equipment.

The best installation would be on the driver's side of the coach. You should find some steel tubing so you can bolt into it and then the whole chassis becomes a ground plane using one of. Using a magnet or wall stud finder will help locate frame structure. A 3 or 4ft FIRESTICK would be a good choice for an antenna.

I will second the Firestick.

Make sure whatever antenna you get says NO GROUND PLANE required on the package.

The Firestick does.. Longer is generally better up to a point. (9 Feet) just so you know.

Thanks for the replies.
I believe that I do have one that is factory installed as there are two antennas on the roof and I know one is for the regular radio.
The reason I asked I was trying to avoid getting on and off the roof to tune the fatory antenna.

Also trying to figure what I want to use for a amature antenna as well for 2 meter/ 440?
