We have an 05 Allegro Bay with 15K. Tires look great. Unit stored indoors. Plan on keeping tires for another year.

Doesn't matter what they look like. Tires have a date code on them. Anything over 5years and your chancing blowouts. Been there, not pretty....

I would check the DOT date on tires. If it is 05 also, you should be fine.
sometimes manufactures use tires they have had on hand for year or more.
I would also have a tire dealer I 'trust' have a look at them.

Hard to say too much. Assuming they are original equipment, tires were probably made in 04/05. We put off replacing ours this spring because our plans we only very short trips (no highway driving). Even getting a 'professional opinion' will vary. One Michelin dealer told us to replace NOW, a second Michelin dealer said the tire were good to go. We just ordered 6 new tires, before several long trips and then trip to FL early next year.

The tire MFG recomends 10 years so I am not sure where you are comming from here. If you really want to be safe just change them every other year. Other than rv.net there is little info that I find saying 5 years is Right time to change tires.

OP, have you put amost all the miles on them? Do you pressure them by how much you weigh. Do you use it often? If yes to all then I'd keep running them. I replaced my front tires at seven years and in another year my rear tires will be ten years old. Lack of use and sitting for many months is what I beleive makes the 5-7 year rule worth thinking about. I recently bought some 22.5 takeoffs from a often used MH that were five years old (35K miles) and put them on a FL70 that I use to pull trailers with. Now if they only had 15K miles on them I'd probably passed on buy;ing them.
This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

I replaced my front tires that were 05 last years and replaced the dully tires this year which were also 05 tires. Could I have gone further on them, maybe, but not taking any chances. How much do tires cost compared to the cost of damage to your MH if a tire blows? I'd rather be safe than sorry. Tires are cheap compared to the cost of a new MH. Good Luck and Happy MHing!

Key positive factors: indoor storage, frequent use, proper tire pressure, minimal use in high temperature areas(AZ etc), no tire damage. I'm sure Michelin's 10 year replacement guide would be subject to the above factors.
